For your benefit we have provided a comparison of the apartment in Roda golf and an apartment in the nearby resort of Torrevieja. This holiday was taken from TravelSupermarket and refers to Home to Home holidays.
It is difficult to compare a like for like apartment as there are few 5 star rated resorts in the highly developed tourist destinations in Spain. We have compared the prices and facilities against a 3 star self catering apartment at the end of July for a 2 week period.
Taking a family of 4 as an example with 2 children under the age of 10. From Cardiff to Alicante Airport.
The package holiday offers a 1 bed apartment with convertable living room. Our apartment has a setee bed that converts to a full double bed but at the same time has a second bedroom with two single beds.
The package holiday is at a cost before transfers and any extra baggage of £2012. Our apartment is based on flights with BMI Baby from Cardiff to Murcia airport at a cost of £174 per person (£696). The apartment is set at a cost of £600 per week. The cleaning costs to be added to this are 50 euros per clean (optional number of cleans). The total cost of our apartment will not be more than £1900. At a saving of over £100 but more importantly the quality of our apartment and the quality of the area is far better than such a developed resort as can usually be found by booking a package holiday.
Comparison 2
The second comparison is against a Thompson package holiday at a Thompson rating 4 apartment. The holiday is at the Terralta apartments again in a 1 bed apartment with convertable living room as the second bedrooms. The holiday includes cost of coach transfers from Alicante Airport to the resort which could take anything up to 2 hours. A taxi can be booked for £114 per taxi!! Our apartment is within 10 minutes of the airport although not too close to be a nuisance.
The cost of the Thompson holiday is £2062 again the saving is just one point to make.

A charge of 70 euros will be taken upon departure for cleaning and laundry. Stays for longer than one week can be provided with a mid stay clean upon request at no extra cost.
A deposit may be required upon arrival by the management company for insurance purposes and will be returned in full at the end of your stay subject to no accidents.
